"The theme of this upcoming installment of CROWD MOUTH LIT seems to be Zen.
Why do I say “seems to be?”
Hmmm. Good question.
Maybe because a lot of things SEEM to be Zen, that aren’t, including nearly every product that uses the word to sell itself as “calming” or “purifying.”
I’ve been practicing Zen formally for 35 years, and I can count on one hand the times it genuinely seemed to “calm” or “purify” me.
